The Middletown Area Historical Society of Dauphin County, Inc., a 501c3 not for profit Pennsylvania corporation has been in existence since 1974. The Society is dedicated to Collect, Preserve & Teach about the great history of Middletown and the immediate surrounding areas. The society is made up of 100% volunteer Trustees and staff. The Historical Society is the proud owner of the Middletown Historic Museum located at 29 E Main St., Middletown, PA 17057. The Society also owns and manages the historic Swatara Ferry House (shown left) which is on the National registry of Historic Places, as well as the Band Hall located next to the Ferry House.
