Established in 1974, the Middletown Area Historical Society of Dauphin County, Inc., a 501c3 not-for-profit Pennsylvania corporation, is committed to the collection, preservation, and dissemination of the rich history of Middletown and its surrounding areas. The society operates entirely with volunteer Trustees and staff. Proudly owning the Middletown Historic Museum at 29 E Main St., Middletown, PA 17057, the Historical Society also oversees the historic Swatara Ferry House, a National Historic Places-listed site, along with the adjacent Band Hall.
